BillSight is designed with your privacy at its core. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. No Account Required
BillSight does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to use the app. You can start tracking your fixed costs immediately, anonymously.
2. Data We Collect
We do not collect any personal data. All information you enter — rent, utilities, subscriptions, and other recurring costs — is stored exclusively on your device using a local SQLite database. This data never leaves your device.
3. No Cloud, No Tracking of Financial Data
BillSight has no backend server and performs no network requests carrying your financial data. The app embeds Google AdMob to display banner advertisements; AdMob collects device-level data necessary to serve ads (device identifier, IP-based coarse location, OS version) but does not receive any of the financial information you enter into BillSight. We do not use any other third-party analytics or crash reporting SDK. In the EU and UK, AdMob serves non-personalized ads by default; in other regions you can opt for non-personalized ads in your device's privacy settings.
4. Device Permissions
BillSight does not request access to your contacts, camera, microphone, location, or any other sensitive device permission. The only storage used is the local database on your own device.
5. Support Communications
If you choose to contact us for support (e.g., via email), any information you provide voluntarily will be used solely to respond to your inquiry and will not be shared with third parties or stored beyond what is necessary to resolve your request.
6. Children's Privacy
BillSight is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the 'Last updated' date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
